Sketchup could do it.

You may be able to get away with the free one, it doesn't have all the features of the full package but for a simple room with joists you should be able to do it in a couple of days (including time to learn sketchup if you don't know how to use it.)

sketchup is your best bet its quick and easy to use anything like autocad is more technical and will take you a while to get your head around the 3D. you should be fine with the free versin of sketchup as it has all you need to produce a simple 3d model. just a few things missing from the full version but i can see you needin them. I can help ya if you add me to MSN the_meloncholy_death_of_oyster_boy@hotmail.com
