Another day, another couple of Wavemasters which this time will be transformed into theme cases based on nVidia and ATI
Not really a lot done apart from the windows cut and the whole cases dismantled and labelled up ready to go to the paint shop but you got to start somewhere i guess :smile:

thought that was a stacker side panel after a quick look at the pics and got all excited that you changed from the wavemaster onto the stacker :D
looking forward to seeing more!

I know the Wavemater thing is getting a bit boring but i like these cases and i know them inside out..............plus i forgot to mention both will be given away in an up and coming competition so stay tuned ;)
my comment wasn't meant in any way like that, my stacker is your wavemaster cant get enough of them and its your time and money that your using to do the cases so knock yourself out ;)
the competition sounds good, is it gonna be more widespread with ati & nvidia involved (publicity for both partys) or just forum members?
Yeh the wavemasters are a very attractive case, any why not mod them, they provide a good strong base!

I'm not mate - way too much on though i will be keeping an eye on it.
They do give some good prizes away so it is worth entering
you gotta hand it to CM for running such a competition, good idea imo

to be honest cant get enough of the wavemaster's love em :)... and im hoping to enter my wavemaster into the CM comp this year but times running short and im so busy its getting difficult!!!! but a prdo log to come, and cant wait for another comp here loved the jigsaw one

Turns out things didn't as fast as planed but these things happen.
Just got the paint back tonight which looks great so onward and upward :D

The black and green looks insane in real life and i suppose the red and white does as well but it looks to much like a Sunderland case for me which doesn't go well with a black and white through and through :smile:

Quick update :)
Started getting the nVidia case back together but still no sign of the logo's - apparently they are proving harder than originally expected to cut on the CNC machine :sad: but still hopeful :)
Should look quite nice with a couple of black CD drives in there :cool:

have you thought about painting the aluminium where you've cut out the blowhole for the rad....
i can see its shinyness quite a bit...

Been a busy Saturday all round but i got to say they look crackin :cool:
Still waiting on a few of the paint bits coming back as they were painted the wrong colour but hey we all make mistakes :rolleyes:

I like that green one Paul not a fan of ATI but is that black perspex around the top of the rad if so did you cut it by hand or machine.:)

I just thought doing an ATI one and an nVidia one would cover most users.
Yeah i used 3mm plexi for the grill bit cut out with a jig-saw and then filed and sanded down
looks like everyone loves the green when i much prefer the red and white :)
some white led's in the blocks and stuff i think that would look amazing.

Must admit I prefer the ATI themed case too. But the green does look the business. Do you have them professionally painted Paul or do you use standard Halfords cans?

I prefer the Nvidia themed case although the ATI case does look cool. Just need to find some sunglasses to admire them :D

They are basically done and just waiting for the logos to turn up early next week which then need painting and sticking on along with mounting the radiators and grills and that's them done ready to be given away to a couple of lucky forum members so keep an eye out for a competition starting.

Won't they still have the off cuts ? (ie. The letters.)

One down one to go :)
It was a friend that did them so managed to get the ATI letters and will be painting them in due course but the nVidia one is all done and dusted.
Painted the both logos and then stuck double sided tape to the larger one which is getting stuck to the window and cut off all the excess with a craft knife without even cutting myself - bit of masking tape to keep things straight and square and jobs a gudd'n :smile:
Top one gets stuck to the mesh grill with some 2 part glue and thats it done!

Yeah the logos on the side windows are 1.2mm aluminium, the same thickness as the actual case and the top logos and grills are 3mm thick :smile:

You dont realy need much money, if you can buy like spraypaint and borrow a few tools of friends and family and mabey buy some perspex it can be easily done.
